Sub chunk transfer aka SCT Publishes availability of parts smaller than 1 chunk (9.28MB). This allows downloading of data from a client that otherwise would be a NNS (no needed source). The data is verified by using the AICH-hash. For this function to work correctly you need the AICH hashtree/root (not available on ed2k servers).

There are currently 2 implementations:

  • Neomule: Based on AICH hash
  • Netfinity crumbs -> based on edonkey extension.
